Stanage Edge

Stanage Edge is high above Hathersage in the Hope Valley Derbyshire. The edge is approximately 3 miles long and the walk along the top of the edge provides stunning distant views with excellent photographic opportunities. Along the lower part of the edge there are scattered discarded millstones which are a relic from an industrial past. There are small car parks at either end of the edge and a larger car park around the mid point which is a pay and display. The car park shown below in the map is at the northern end.
