Roche Rock is on the outskirts of the village of Roche in mid Cornwall just off the A30 trunk road. There is no car park near the rock but on-road parking is possible near the rock for just a few cars. The village gets its name from this outcrop of granite, Roche being the Norman-French word for Rock. On the top of the rock are the ruins of a chapel and many folklore tales are associated with the chapel. The rock has geological interest and became a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Importance) in 1991. There are toilet facilities a short distance away next to the village school.
