Polridmouth

Polridmouth is a small cove just west of Fowey on the south coast of Cornwall. The car park shown in the map below is the closest point to the cove by car and payment for parking is on a trust basis at the local farmhouse. Access to the cove is via a short tarmac road and then a narrow lane past the farmhouse. This lane can sometimes be muddy after wet weather. Just before reaching the cove another path to the right involves a very steep grassy climb to the Daymark on Gribbin Head. The Daymark which is owned by the National Trust is open on certain Sundays in the summer and the views from the top are stunning. This section is part of the coastal path and for those with plenty of energy Polkerris can be reached to the west and Fowey to the east.
