Monsal Head Viaduct

The Monsal Trail is part of the disused Midland Railway London to Manchester line and is around 8.5 miles long from Chee Dale to Bakewell. Along the trail there are lit tunnels, cuttings and the Monsal Head Viaduct. There is a car park and nearby toilet facilities above the viaduct near the Monsal Head Hotel although the access path to and from the viaduct is steep. The Monsal Trail provides level walking in either direction from the viaduct.
